Beets are a wonderful treat in the winter time. As the weather cools, root veggies are a great addition to our diet. They’re warming, and they help us feel more rooted as we go through the transition into the colder weather.

Beets are loaded with Vitamins A, B1, B6, and C.  The greens contain iron, calcium,  magnesium, copper, phosphorous and sodium. Plus beets are loaded with fiber, so they are an excellent aid for constipation. Both beet roots and greens are great for cleaning and building blood.
