Hot Cereal Keto Style

This hot cereal is loaded with nutrients, and is filling and soothing. The nuts and seeds are high in protein, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. The berries are high in fiber, Vitamin C and K and are considered a “superfood.” My husband loves to start his day with this!

Ingredients:

  • 2 T flax seeds

  • 1 T chia seeds

  • 2 T sesame seeds

  • 1 T coconut flour

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup milk ( coconut, almond, organic cow)

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1-2 tsp monk fruit (stevia, allulose, or other low carb sweetener)

  • 1 T ghee or coconut oil

  • 1 T coconut cream (optional)

  • 1/2 cup berries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1/8 cup chopped roasted nuts

Here’s How:

  1. In a saucepan, mix flax seeds, chia seeds, sesame seeds, coconut flour, cinnamon, and milk over low heat.

  2. Add remaining ingredients, heat and stir until well blended.

  3. Top with 1/4 cup frozen berries and toasted nuts of your choice.
