Hot Cereal Keto Style
This hot cereal is loaded with nutrients, and is filling and soothing. The nuts and seeds are high in protein, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. The berries are high in fiber, Vitamin C and K and are considered a “superfood.” My husband loves to start his day with this!
Ingredients:
2 T flax seeds
1 T chia seeds
2 T sesame seeds
1 T coconut flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk ( coconut, almond, organic cow)
1/4 cup water
1-2 tsp monk fruit (stevia, allulose, or other low carb sweetener)
1 T ghee or coconut oil
1 T coconut cream (optional)
1/2 cup berries (fresh or frozen)
1/8 cup chopped roasted nuts
Here’s How:
In a saucepan, mix flax seeds, chia seeds, sesame seeds, coconut flour, cinnamon, and milk over low heat.
Add remaining ingredients, heat and stir until well blended.
Top with 1/4 cup frozen berries and toasted nuts of your choice.
