Tofu Broccoli Cabbage Saute (can use any protein of your choosing, salmon, poultry, pork or beef)

Ingredients:

  • 1 container tofu, drained, cut into cubes and marinated

  • 1- 1 1/2 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 cup chopped or shredded white cabbage

  • 1 cup leftover dark leafy greens, chopped

  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 2 T wheat free tamari

  • 2 tsp black bean paste

  • 2 tsp hoisin sauce or honey

  • sea salt, fresh ground pepper and roasted ground sesame seeds to taste

Here’s How:

  1. Place a weight over tofu (heavy skillet on top of a plate on top of tofu) for at least 30 minutes.

  2. Drain excess water, cut into cubes and marinate in last 3 ingredients listed above in a plastic bag that you can shake and turn for a minimum of an hour.

  3. Chop garlic, cabbage, greens, broccoli florets and set aside.

  4. Use 2 skillets, get both really hot, add either 1 T ghee or avocado oil, heat and put tofu in one and brown each side.

  5. in the other, saute garlic, then add broccoli and stir for 3-5 minutes and remove.

  6. Add cabbage next for a few minutes, add the greens and cook for 3 minutes. Return broccoli to mixture. Season with salt and pepper, etc.

  7. Serve veggies and tofu and enjoy!
