Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
2 large tart, crisp apples, cut into slices, then 1/2" pieces
2 T ghee
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 cup rolled oats (quick cooking offers a nice texture)
1/4 cup monk fruit sweetener (or 1/3 cup granulated sugar of your choice)
1/2 cup almond meal
1/2 cup almond flour
1 cup chopped nuts of your choice (pecans, almonds, filberts, walnuts)
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp cinnamon
5 T ghee
Here's How:
Preheat oven to 375.
Melt 2 T ghee in skillet and saute apples, cinnamon and salt for 7 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, add the rest of ingredients and stir thoroughly.
Cover apples with mixture, press down slightly.
Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
Serve with greek yoghurt or by itself.
