Balsamic Glazed Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients:
16 oz brussel sprouts cut in 1/2 or 1/4 depending on size
1 1/2 T extra virgin olive oil
2 large shallots, coarsely chopped
5 garlic cloves, chopped
2 T balsamic glaze or vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
1/3 cup chopped roasted walnuts or pecans
1/4 tsp dried thyme or herb of your choice
Here’s How:
Preheat oven to 350.
Saute shallots for about 5 minutes in half of the olive oil, add garlic for another 2 minutes.
Add brussel sprouts to pan and drizzle remaining olive oil on top as well as balsamic and salt and pepper. Quick saute for 5 minutes.
Transfer mixture to cookie sheet with nuts and herbs and bake in oven for about 10-15 minutes until brussels get nice and brown.
