Balsamic Glazed Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz brussel sprouts cut in 1/2 or 1/4 depending on size

  • 1 1/2 T extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 large shallots, coarsely chopped

  • 5 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 2 T balsamic glaze or vinegar

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted walnuts or pecans

  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme or herb of your choice

Here’s How:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Saute shallots for about 5 minutes in half of the olive oil, add garlic for another 2 minutes.

  3. Add brussel sprouts to pan and drizzle remaining olive oil on top as well as balsamic and salt and pepper. Quick saute for 5 minutes.

  4. Transfer mixture to cookie sheet with nuts and herbs and bake in oven for about 10-15 minutes until brussels get nice and brown.
